If you’re a fan of Guardians of the Galaxy the movie, or the awesome ride at Disneyland, you will love this foldable cassette box! It looks just like the Awesome Mix Volume 1 from the hit movie. But, instead of playing classic tunes, this Guardians of the Galaxy cassette box can be filled with treats, notes, prizes and more.

This craft was inspired by the Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix Volume 1. You can use our free Guardians of the Galaxy cassette printable to create your own. The box can be used for a Guardian's birthday or movie party. You could also fill it with snacks for an adventurous day at Disney California Adventure Park - where you have the chance to meet the Guardians themselves!
Supplies Needed for Your Guardians of the Galaxy Cassette Boxes:
To start, download the Guardians of the Galaxy cassette template. Print one copy for each box you want to make, using cardstock and color ink. Once printed, cut around the outline of the box.
Fold along the gray cassette lines and fold the little tabs. I turned the template so the printed area was faced down on the table. Then, I folded the sections up. Try to keep the lines straight. It makes the box easier to put together later!
Use double sided tape to attach the gray tabs to the bottom of the tape box. Place the tape on the gray area of the tabs. As you stick them to the bottom of the tape box, it will pull the side of the tape box upward to make a 3-D object.
Then, place a strip of tape onto both of the side edges of the cassette tape box. Then, fold them up and stick them to the back side of the other cassette tape sides.
The top of the box has a flap that can be folded over and tucked inside to keep the contents in place.
Now, the box is ready to fill. We put candy inside for a fun treat. These Guardians of the Galaxy cassette boxes would make a great party gift for guests. Or, you can use them to hold treats to eat during any of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
