Downtown Disney District

The Downtown Disney District is a dining, shopping and entertainment destination situated between the main entrances of Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park. This popular shopping and dining scene offers visitors over 40 unique shops, experiences and restaurants, and a Monorail station that will take you directly into Tomorrowland inside Disneyland® Park. Many guests opt to take the Monorail from the park into Downtown Disney for lunch, then head back into the parks for the rest of their day.

Admission is not required for the Downtown Disney District and it is hours of fun. Here is just a sampling of what you'll find at the Downtown Disney District:

Downtown Disney District Dining:

The Downtown Disney District is full of delicious dining opportunities with flavors from every corner of the globe. One unique thing about Downtown Disney District is that many restaurants offer a table service option and quick-service version complete with their most popular items. La Brea Bakery, Tortilla Jo's, Napoli, and even Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen all have Express versions of their restaurants. You can also find classic staples like Starbucks, Jamba Juice and Wetzels Pretzels. Be sure to stop by Sprinkles for a gourmet cupcake, or check out one of the many specialty kiosks serving tasty treats.

Downtown Disney District Shopping:

Downtown Disney District is home to some of the best specialty shops around. World of Disney, and the LEGO® Imagination Center are just a sample of where you'll want to find one-of-a-kind souvenirs. Some of your favorite stores like Sephora, Quicksilver and Fossil can also be found here. Disney Home and the Disney Dress Shop are two newer additions to Downtown Disney that you'll want to visit. It is nearly impossible to leave the Downtown Disney District empty handed.

Entertainment:

There is always something exciting going on at Downtown Disney District from live musical performances nightly to the occasional Disney Channel star meet-n-greets. You will want to check the Downtown Disney District schedule as appearances are limited. The Void opened in early 2018 and is a completely immersive virtual reality Star Wars experience. You'll want to make a reservation for this one of a kind attraction. You can also hit the lanes at Splitsville, a new luxury bowling alley and restaurant.

The Downtown Disney District is undergoing some drastic changes over the next few years with some incredibly exciting additions on the horizon. Watch for Ballast Point, a San Diego based brewery, and Black Tap, a New York based restaurant, coming in 2018. Although no date has been announced, a new hotel is also coming to Downtown Disney. It will be the fourth of the Hotels of the Disneyland® Resort when it opens.
