The easiest way to get from one spot to another once you’re on property is to map out your route in the My Disney Experience app.

- Scroll down to “Getting Around”
- Tap “Transportation and Parking”
- Tap “Show List”
- Tap “Walt Disney World Monorail Service”
- Tap “Get Directions” for the most direct Monorail route to get you to your destination in no time.

Walt Disney World Monorail Stop Locations
There are a handful of Monorail stop locations at Walt Disney World.
- Theme Park Monorail stops are located outside of the main entrance
- If you’re staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, you can enjoy access to all monorail lines, right from your hotel.
- Locate the Monorail Directory signs to find the correct line for your Disney Resort Hotel.
Different Monorail Lines
The Walt Disney World Monorail System has 3 separate lines that travel throughout Walt Disney World Resort:
- Magic Kingdom Resort Line operates along Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Dsney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and the Ticket and Transportation Center.
- Express Monorail Line with a direct route between Magic Kingdom Park and Ticket and Transportation Center.
- EPCOT Monorail Line has a direct route between EPCOT and Ticket and Transportation Center.
The Ticket and Transportation Center is the central transport hub of Walt Disney World Resort. At this station, you can get Disney transportation via the Ferry, Buses, and various Monorails.
Magic Kingdom Resort Lin - Monorail Stops
The Resort Monorail goes around the Seven Seas Lagoon and makes 5 stops:
- Magic Kingdom
- Disney's Contemporary Resort (also accessible to guests of Bay Lake Towers)
- Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC)
- Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
- Disney's Grand Floridian Resort
Guests staying at a Resort with a Monorail stop must change trains at the Transportation and Ticket Center in order to continue traveling on to EPCOT.
If you're staying at the Polynesian Village Resort you can access the Resort Monorail for Magic Kingdom and just walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center to access the EPCOT Monorail.

Walt Disney World Transportation - Ticket and Transportation Center
The Ticket and Transportation Center is the central transport hub of Walt Disney World Resort. At this station, you can get Disney transportation via the Ferry, Monorail, and various Monorail.
Monorail offers service to Disney Springs, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. To get to a Walt Disney World Resort, you'll need to get to a theme park and change Monorail. This is also where Get Away Today partner hotels will drop off Walt Disney World guests.
Hours of Operation and Wait Times
The Resort Monorail and Express Monorail begin operating 30 minutes prior to when Magic Kingdom park opens and stop one hour after Magic Kingdom park closes.
The EPCOT Monorail begins operating 30 minutes prior to when EPCOT opens and stops 2 hours after EPCOT closes.
For Park Opening:
- The Resort Monorail and Express Monorail begin operating 30 minutes prior to when Magic Kingdom park opens.
- The EPCOT Monorail begins operating 30 minutes prior to when EPCOT opens.
For Park Closing:
- The Resort Monorail and Express Monorail ends operation one hour after Magic Kingdom park closes.
- The EPCOT Monorail ends operation 2 hours after EPCOT closes.
During the Day:
- Disney Monorail service between the parks and hotels continues throughout the day every few minutes.
For Disney Water Park:
If you're headed to one of the Disney Water Parks, Monorail service begins from the hotels 45 minutes prior to park openings and runs continuously every 30 minutes throughout the day. Return service ends one hour after the water parks close.
At every Monorail stop there are display boards with clearly marked destinations and departure times.
