One of the best ways to meet the Characters at the Disneyland Resort is with Character Dining. We've made a quick video to show you what it's all about and answer your most frequently asked questions:

Here's a quick overview of what we showed in our Disneyland Character Dining 101 video:

Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel is the most popular Character Dining location. Here you can find peanut butter and jelly pizza, cupcakes for breakfast, and so much more. Goofy's Kitchen serves breakfast and dinner. But don't let the term breakfast fool you. It normally starts around 7 AM and goes until early afternoon and is more like a brunch.

Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel where you'll find the Surf’s Up Breakfast with Mickey and friends at the PCH Grill. This breakfast offers California inspired cuisine and is the only character dining experience you'll meet Mickey Mouse. It's also the only place you'll find Mickey outside of a theme park at Disneyland.

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is home to Chip ‘n Dale's Critter Country Breakfast at the Storyteller's Cafe. They have a delicious buffet and cook to order items. It’s located right next to the hotel’s private entrance into California Adventure.

Ariel's Grotto is the only character dining location inside Disney California Adventure Park and is a must for any little princess. Breakfast is served family style, while lunch and dinner are ordered from a three-course menu fit for royalty. As an FYI, dinner must be ordered early, because the restaurant turns into a World of Color pre-fixe menu.

Breakfast with Minnie & Friends is the only character dining experience inside Disneyland. It's located at the Plaza Inn on Main Street USA. Breakfast is sometimes served before the park opens, so you can get to the restaurant through a special line – you’ll feel like a VIP.

Character Dining prices vary depending on the restaurant and meal time, but you can get your tickets in advance with Get Away Today and save up to 10%. Our tickets already include your tax and gratuity, so you know exactly what you're paying for.

We’ll send your tickets in the mail ahead of time, or you can purchase e-tickets that can be picked up with your park tickets. Either way, you’ll need to bring your character dining tickets with you to the restaurant as your form of payment. The tickets look just like park tickets from the front, but you’ll see that they read character dining on the back.

Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance by calling 714.781.DINE or on Disneyland’s website. Just be sure you purchase your tickets ahead of time online or by calling 855-GET-AWAY.
