Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort Review
And while the Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort is a value property, you’ll still find the normal room amenities like free WiFi and a mini-refrigerator.
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort Review – Amenities & Resort Perks:
Speaking of amenities, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort offers so much for families looking for the most bang for their buck. Free Wifi, online check-in, parking for $13 per night, laundry and dry-cleaning services and even optional childcare services are some of the normal amenities included. There’s even more included when you stay at the All-Star Sports Resort or any other Walt Disney World Resort hotel, though. Things like free transportation to and from the Orlando airport via Disney's Magical, complimentary merchandise delivery from the parks and an included shuttle system that runs throughout the entire Walt Disney World Resort. Additionally, you’ll get a free Magic Band per person and access to Extra Magic Hours when you bundle your All-Star Sports Resort stay with Disney World tickets.
You can read all about our Walt Disney World concierge services HERE, but the summary is that a travel expert can help create your My Disney Express account, link travel members to it, manage dining and experience reservations and make FastPass+ requests for you before you travel. It’s a great way to make planning your Walt Disney World vacation more seamless than ever before.
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort Review – Pools & Activities:
The sports theme extends to more than just the rooms at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort. In fact, each building section has a different sport theme with larger than life decorations. And the two pools, the Surfboard Bay Pool and Grand Slam Pool, are themed after – you guessed it – surfing and baseball. The Surfboard Bay Pool has 3-story tall surfboards lining the area along with a kiddie pool for the littlest members. The Grand Slam Pool is shaped like a baseball diamond and even features Goofy on a pitching mound to lob some fast-flying streams of water at guests. There’s even a fun playground near the Touchdown! Building, or families can enjoy themselves at the Game Point Arcade by the food court.
Like many other Disney World hotels, All-Star Sports Resort offers a one-mile jogging trail. This is a convenient way to start the day with some fresh air, or to enjoy some cooler temperatures during an evening run.
No matter where you wander at the Disney’s All-Star Sports, you’re sure to find some sports memorabilia.
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort Review – Dining:
Looking for a bite to eat while staying at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort? You’re in luck! The hotel offers an End Zone Food Court that serves up all kinds of American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This quick-service restaurant qualifies for Disney’s Dining Plans, making it easy to use a credit or two for mornings or evenings you end up at the hotel. Additionally, you can mobile order and pay for your food in advance to avoid the traditional queue. Adults will love the Grandstand Spirits Pool Bar next to the Surfboard Bay Pool, too. And, for an extra fee, you can have pizza, salad, snacks and more delivered straight to your room. Your family won’t go hungry at the All-Star Sports!
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort Review – Location:
Last but not least, let’s look at the Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort’s location. The All-Star Sports Resort is located near Disney’s Animal Kingdom, just a few minutes from Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the next closest, followed by Epcot and ending with Magic Kingdom Park as the farthest. Just be aware that all three of the All-Star properties (Sports, Music and Movies) share the same shuttle, so you could potentially see a longer wait time coming home from the parks each night. Even then, the great pricing (sometimes less than $100 per nights) makes that more than worth it for many families.
