Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter Review

This Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter review goes over the rooms, amenities and more offered when you book this property. We like to think of this Walt Disney World Resort Hotel as small but mighty!

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter Review - Rooms

Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter rooms were refurbished as of 2018, and they now feature wood floors, updated lighting and bathroom upgrades. You’ll love the understated French design in the rooms, which are accented with fleur de lis and woodwork reminiscent of New Orleans. Choose between King and Double Queen rooms, with views including Garden, River, Pool or Standard. A King room will sleep up to two adults, while the Double Queen rooms accommodate up to four adults. The beds have storage room underneath, which is a nice new perk at Port Orleans Resort. Guests love the separate dual vanity and bathing area in the Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter as it makes getting ready for the day easier. You’ll find the Disney Resort H20+ Beauty products in each room, as well as crisp white linens and upgraded beds.

There are seven buildings at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, each of which is situated on mock streets of New Orleans. Wrought iron, fountains and stately street lamps bring touches of the French Quarter right to Orlando.

Port Orleans Resort amenities range from in-room celebrations for special occasions to complimentary theme park transportation. The feel of the Resort is Mardi Gras plus French Quarter, giving it both playful and romantic vibes.

It’s the perfect spot for little ones to cool off, as it features smaller versions of slides, water cannons and fountains. Each afternoon at four guests can enjoy a taste of New Orleans culture with the Doubloon Lagoon Mardi Gras Parade. There are also Cajun-inspired campfire gatherings in the evenings along the serene Sassagoula River (by building six). Complimentary movie nights are hosted at Port Orleans Resort, and take place between buildings five and six. This property also boasts an arcade and playgrounds.
