Disney Cruise Line: Special Holiday Events and Sailings, PLUS Last Chance Galveston Sailings

By Kimberly Fidler 07/24/2013

Disney Cruise Line is always a party, but even more festivities will be onboard to "sail-ebrate" the upcoming holidays. And as an added bonus, you can take advantage of special rates over many of these sailings!

Guests who dare sail the Disney Dream from Sept. 22 - October 31, 2013 will experience the first ever "Halloween on the High Seas Cruises." These thrilling cruises will include seasonal decor, including a giant pumpkin tree in the atrium, costume parties, trick-or-treating and a special "Mousequerade" deck party featuring Jack Skellington and Sally at the Nightmare Before Christmas Sing and Scream Show.

Guests aboard the Disney Magic, Wonder and Fantasy can expect treats, tricks and magical mischief of their own over special Halloween voyages. A costume party, Halloween-themed movies and delicious Halloween delicacies, like chocolate cake with pumpkin filling, spider cakes and “Spooky Juice” are all part of the festive fun.

Then, November 12 - January 6, all four Disney Cruise Line ships will be decking the halls in celebration of the holiday season. Guests can build gingerbread houses, meet Santa Claus, and listen to holiday storytellers. These holiday voyages kick off the first night with “King Triton’s Tree Lighting Ceremony,” where a lucky young guest will help light the giant Christmas tree in the ship’s atrium lobby. The whole family will love the “Deck the Deck Holiday Party,” where they'll do the “Yuletide Slide” with Mickey and limbo under giant candy canes. If your journey takes you to Castaway Cay, the merriment carries onto land with “snow flurries,” a tropical Christmas tree and holiday island music. If your family chooses to set sail over the actual dates of Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s Eve, you can expect even more exclusive celebrations.
