There is something completely magical about when the Happiest Place on Earth transforms into the Merriest Place on Earth. Somehow the combination of Disneyland and Christmas makes the two even more enchanting. We've put together Your Complete Guide to Holidays at Disneyland 2016, which already promises to be unlike any other celebration.

First, we'll start with the classics that are returning for Holidays at Disneyland 2016:

  • Haunted Mansion Holiday has already begun for Halloween Time since it's a clash of Halloween and Christmas. It is an incredible makeover compliments of Jack Skellington that shouldn't be missed. New to the attraction this year is the addition of Sally to the graveyard scene. Also, the ballroom features a new gingerbread house - and it smells heavenly!

  • "it's a small world" holiday will ring in the season with its annual overlay featuring a cheerful medley of "it's a small world" and "Jingle Bells" celebrating Christmas Time around the world.

  • Jingle Cruise is a punny seasonal twist on this classic attraction. It will turn your "ho ho hos" into "ha ha has."
  • A Holiday Fantasy Parade brings your favorite characters along with some new ones for the season. Giant gingerbread cookies, toy soldiers, snowmen and carolers make their way down Main Street U.S.A.. And of course no Disney holiday parade would be complete without an appearance from the two main men, Santa and Mickey!
  • Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle is back after a year off to dazzle as the crowning jewel of the Diamond Celebration.Thousands of glistening lights make the castle a winter dream come true.
  • "Believe... In Holiday Magic" fireworks are back with a bang this year! The annual holiday themed fireworks took a hiatus during the holidays at Disneyland last year and was replaced by the limited time Disneyland Forever fireworks as part of the Diamond Celebration. We couldn't be more excited that it's back for Holidays at Disneyland 2016!
  • Santa Claus is meeting guests in both parks. You can find Jolly Ol' St. Nick at Critter Country in Disneyland and at the Redwood Creek Challenge at Disney California Adventure Park.
  • Disneyland, Disney California Adventure Park and Downtown Disney all feature ginourmous Christmas trees and are completely decked out. It is a sight to behold.

  • There are seasonal sweets and menu items only available this time of year. Although many will be returning favorites, some new surprises are sure to be thrown into the mix.

And now we'll move onto what's new for Holidays at Disneyland 2016:

  • World of Color - Season of Lights is an all-new show that combines beloved classic holiday music with your favorite Disney animated films. You'll definitely want a Fastpass for this show! You can get one in the morning from the Fastpass distribution area near Grizzly River Run. If you want a really special evening, you can book a World of Color dinner at Ariel's Grotto, Wine Country Trattoria or Carthay Circle complete with preferred viewing for the night's show. • Festival of Holidays is a new event at Disney California Adventure Park that will celebrate holidays from around the globe. This event will include the return Disney !Viva Navidad! street festival, and so much more. You'll be able to explore 14 different marketplaces serving tastes from all around the world.
