Create Your Disney Holiday Countdown
First, download and print the Mickey Pattern and the Mickey Mouse Holiday Countdown Header Printable that matches your destination. There are three options for the header.

Mickey Mouse Holiday Countdown Chain Trim
Cut the Mickey mouse pattern shape from the template. Trace the pattern onto the black construction paper. You will get four Mickey heads out of each piece of construction paper.
Cut out the strips following the traced outline.

Fold the mouse ears up at a 90 degree angle and make a crease. Do this on each of the Mickey head strips that you will use. The number depends on how many days you want to include on your countdown.
Next, cut the strips for the Mickey Mouse body and hands. My Mickey wears a cool red Santa suit! You will need two strips of red and one strip of white for every Mickey head that you made. Cut the colored strips 1.5 inches wide.
Make the chain with staples. Start by making a loop with a strip of white paper. Staple it into place. Then, thread a Mickey head through the white loop and form the Mickey head into a circle before stapling the ends in place.
Add a red loop and then another red loop. Repeat the pattern until you have a whole bunch of linked up Santa Mickeys!
Since it is the holidays...Mickey needs to look extra fancy. Give him some gold buttons! I found these gold embellishments at the craft store and you can also find them on Amazon. They had adhesive on the back like a sticker to make placing them on the chain very quick and easy! Put two buttons on the red loop just below the Mickey head in each section.
Loop a strip of ribbon through the top link of the chain and tape it to the back of the Mickey Mouse Holiday Countdown Chain Header. Make sure to tape it to the bottom center of the header.
Your countdown is ready!
