Disneyland Halloween Time 2015: Everything You Need to Know

By Kimberly Fidler 08/11/2015

Halloween Time is the most spooktacular time of year at the Disneyland Resort!  This year the seasonal celebration begins September 11 and continues through November 1. 2015 is going to be even more of a treat with the Diamond Celebration taking place at the same time! Halloween Time is included with all park tickets. Here is just some of the not-so-scary fun you can expect at the Resort during those dates:

  • Haunted Mansion Holiday - Jack Skellington and his crew take over the Haunted Mansion and bring Halloween and Christmas together seamlessly.
  • Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy - Ghosts have taken over Space Mountain and will have you screaming more than usual.
  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ - This creepy ride gets even creepier with extra spooky additions for the holiday.
  • Disney Villain Character experiences - Watch out for some of Disney's most wicked villains, normally banished from the Resort. Hook, Cruella DeVille, Maleficent and others can be found lurking around.
  • Pumpkin Festival on Main Street, U.S.A. - Hundreds of meticulously carved pumpkins line the streets of Main Street, U.S.A., for a cheery atmosphere.
  • Seasonal sweets available for purchase - The Mickey Pumpkin caramel apples, pumpkin beignets, and Mickey bat cookies are must haves.
  • And so much more!

In addition to the dazzling Halloween decor, you'll also be able to see Disneyland Forever, the new Diamond Celebration fireworks display (only on nights that Mickey's Halloween Party is NOT taking place), Paint the Night, the new Electric Light inspired Parade that is part of the Diamond Celebration, and World of Color - Celebrate!, the new show in Disney California Adventure Park.

Mickey’s Halloween Party takes place on select nights during Halloween Time, and is a separate ticketed event. Mickey's Halloween Party includes park time with attractions, trick-or-treating, Halloween Screams - a special fireworks display, Paint the Night parade, and more fun. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, you can order them here.

Disneyland closes early on the nights of Mickey’s Halloween Party and you'll need a party ticket and wristband to stay inside the park. We made this calendar with the nights of Mickey's Halloween Party highlighted in orange, so you can see if any of the party dates fall over your vacation.

If you are traveling during Mickey's Halloween Party and aren’t attending the party, I put together some great recommendations for you to enjoy your night:

• Watch World of Color – Celebrate! at Disney California Adventure Park. You can grab a FASTPASS by the Grizzly River Run first thing in the morning, or make a reservation for a dining package at one of the restaurants that include premium viewing.

• Play at Disney California Adventure Park. Race around Cars Land, which is a completely different experience at night with the neon lights, rock out at the Diamond Mad T Party, and drop in at the extra spooky Tower of Terror.

• Make a dinner reservation for Goofy’s Kitchen and enjoy a delicious all-you-care-to-eat buffet with gourmet menu items and “goofy” concoctions like PB&J pizza. It’s the best way to get one-on-one time with the characters. Reservations can be made 60 days out, so you'll want to reserve your time online or by calling 714-781-DINE.

• Have dinner at any of the themed restaurants in Downtown Disney like the Rainforest Café, ESPN Zone, House of Blues, or Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen. Each of the restaurants offer a completely fun and immersive experience.

• Head over to Buena Park for a “knight” of adventure and a feast at Medieval Times. Just 15 minutes away from Disneyland, you'll find one of the most unique, entertaining and delicious dinner theaters with live horses and performers.

No matter how you spend your Halloween nights at Disneyland, you are in for a treat! If you need more ideas, call our agents at 855-GET-AWAY. If you haven't already booked your Halloween Time vacation, book now online or call any of our Disney Experts. We'd love to help!
