UPDATED MARCH 2019 If you've got ears, say cheers! Minnie Mouse knows that Star Wars isn't just for boys. Girls love action and adventure too. The exciting Star Wars stories with all of the lovable (and not so lovable!) characters is brought to life at Disneyland during the Season of the Force -- going on now!  These easy DIY Star Wars Minnie Ears will help your little Jedi fit right in. They are perfect to wear when Star Wars Land Disneyland opens in May 31, 2019!

You will need:

To start, print the pattern and cut out the two ear pieces.

Trace the ears onto the foam board.  You will need two foam pieces per ear.

Cut around the lines with an Exacto Knife.  Be careful on this part to keep the lines straight and smooth.  It really effects the finished look of the ears.

Glue the two foam pieces for each ear together using spray adhesive or hot glue.  Let the glue set.

Then, trace around the foam ear onto the Star Wars fabric leaving about 1/4 inch gap between the foam and the line.  You want the fabric to be able to wrap around the edges of the foam.

Make sure to get the part of the fabric that you like.  I wanted to get a section that showed the most of the Star Wars graphics on it.  You will need four fabric pieces total.

Use a spray adhesive to attach the fabric to the foam board.  The spray glue is so easy to use and it makes a very smooth finished product.

Fold the edges of the fabric around the end of the foam board and secure it in place with hot glue.

Then add a layer of ribbon around the edges to hide the scrappy edges of the fabric and to give the ears a cute finished look!

Glue the ears onto a headband with hot glue.  You want to leave about a 2 inch gap at the top of the headband, so the ears are pointing slightly sideways. Minnie is a mouse, not a bunny.

Finally, glue a bow onto the center of the headband.  You can find cute bows in tons of colors online or you could certainly make your own bow with ribbon if you would like.  I felt like the bow made it extra cute.

I hope you enjoy making these easy DIY Star Wars Minnie Ears.  Make sure to snap some pictures of your little Jedi at the Season of the Force this spring.  They will be out of this world adorable.
