New flooring. The first thing you'll notice when you step into one of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa rooms is the new hardwood flooring. The wood flooring extends into the entryway and bathroom of each room, helping the light reflect so much more around the room. 

Brighter lighting. Speaking of light, you'll notice a change when you enter the newly renovated rooms. Each room is brighter and airier, with lighter colors and better lighting accessories used throughout. It will be your breath of fresh air to return to after the park each night.
