Disney’s Beach Club Resort has a New England vibe, much like its sister property, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. If you’re wondering, “what are the rooms like at Disney’s Beach Club Resort?” we have your answer!

Book the Beach Club Resort and experience rooms with elegance and casual, beachy vibes. While still feeling family-friendly, Beach Club Resort rooms have touches of the sea, including understated furnishings, art and even bathroom tile. Be sure to look for the Mickeys on your shower curtain!

Standard rooms at Disney’s Beach Club Resort offer a couple of options for Get Away Today guests. You can request a two Queen or one King room, with the option of also including a pull-out sofa bed. Standard rooms can sleep up to five adults, and you may find yourself with various views, including Water, Garden or Woods.

At Walt Disney World Beach Club Resort, you can also choose to upgrade to 1- or 2-bedroom suites. The 1-bedroom suite sleeps up to four guests, while the 2-bedroom has room for up to seven.

  • Ship Shape Massage Salon Fitness - This health club offers complimentary exercise facilities for guests of Disney’s Beach Club Resort. You can also book facials, massages and other spa and salon services during your vacation. If you’d like, you can also book in-room spa treatments!
  • Stormalong Bay - This water park area at Disney’s Beach Club spans about 3 acres, and is fun for all ages. There’s a sand-bottom pool, a sunken ship to explore, a water slide and even a lazy river. Shipwreck Pool has a zero-entry shoreline so even the littlest of swimmers can approach the water with ease. It also includes a miniature water slide. Stormalong Bay is at the heart of the Resort, with views of the Transportation Dock where you can catch a boat to Epcot or Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

  • Leisure Pools - Beach Club Resort offers three different leisure pools, all with Cabana rentals available for an additional cost. Enjoy Tidal Pool, Admiral Pool or Dunes Pool during your stay. Tidal Pool faces Crescent Lake at the southeast end of the Resort. It has its own restrooms and is just steps away from the outdoor volleyball court. Admiral Pool is situated by the tennis court at the northwestern end of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. This sister property invites guests from the Beach Club to enjoy this pool as well. The Dunes Pool is located at the northeast end of the Beach Club, near the villas and the Resort’s entrance. All three leisure pools are complemented with hot tubs for guests as well. 
  • Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf - Across Stormalong Bay to the south you’ll find Disney’s Swan Hotel. Adjacent to this property is the Fantasia-inspired fairways that offer miniature golf to guests. Call ahead to book a tee time during your vacation!
  • Pirate Adventure Cruises - Guests ages 4 - 12 can enjoy a Pirate-themed adventure at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. Book in advance to experience Pirate Adventure Cruises, which include storytelling, snacks and treasure hunting. The Albatross Treasure Cruise departs from Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, while the Islands of the Caribbean Pirate Cruise has a port at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.
  • Campfires - You’ll find a cozy campfire spot near the shipwreck at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. This serves as your warm-up (GET IT?!) for Disney Movies Under the Stars and is complimentary. For the movie schedule, stop by the front desk at the Beach Club Resort and make plans to enjoy a relaxing evening at either the North or South end of the Resort, depending on the dates.

  • Motorized Boat Rentals - Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. You’ll head to Disney’s Yacht Club Marina to rent motorized boats during your stay, after which you can cruise around the lakes, lagoons and inlets that connect many Walt Disney World Resorts. 
  • Fishing - If you’d like some guided fishing lessons, sign up at Crescent Lake near Disney’s Beach Club Resort! You can spend up to four hours casting and reeling with an experienced angler.

Other onsite recreation includes jogging trails and the Lafferty Place Arcade, located in the Disney Yacht Club building adjacent to the Beach Club (near Martha’s Vineyard and Cape May Cafe). 

Disney's Beach Club Resort Review - Dining

Speaking of cafes, you’re probably wondering what dining is available at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. In addition to room service, you can choose from a variety of dining options at the Resort.

  • Yachtsman Steakhouse - For delicious steakhouse cuisine, look no further than the Yachtsman! This fine-dining experience does have a dress code, so be sure to leave hats and swimwear in the room. Yachtsman Steakhouse is located at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and advance reservations are recommended. They do have a kids’ menu and a decadent assortment of desserts. 
  • Cape May Cafe - You’ll find Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club Resort, with buffet-style family and Character Dining. For breakfast only, you can rub shoulders with some of your favorite Disney Characters at the Cafe, all while enjoying Mickey waffles, fresh pastries, fruits, yogurt and more. For the dinner buffet, you can select from an assortment of options including salad, seafood, pasta, veggies, cheese and carving-station meats.

  • Beaches & Cream Soda Shop - Styled after boardwalk dining at the beach, this dessert stop will satisfy any sweet tooth. Enjoy flavored sodas and malts, sundaes, burgers, sandwiches, chili and even chicken noodle soup. The Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is located at Stormalong Bay and is open for lunch and dinner.
  • Ale & Compass Lounge - Head to the lounge for drinks, or The Market at Ale & Compass for quick-service dining. You’ll also find breakfast, lunch and dinner options at the sit-down Ale & Compass Restaurant. These dining options are located inside Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.
  • Crew’s Cup Lounge - Next to Ale & Compass you’ll find the Crew’s Cup Lounge. This is your stop for a selection of ales, specialty cocktails as well as shrimp cocktail, Charcuterie boards, sliders, salads and late-night dining.
  • Martha’s Vineyard - This is another lounge at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Its beachy vibe pairs nicely with the variety of wines and beers on the menu. It’s only open 5 - 10pm.
  • Beach Club Marketplace - For breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night dining, head to the Beach Club Marketplace. From platters with Mickey-shaped waffles to clam chowder or ribs, this place nearly has it all. The late-night menu includes snacks and beverages.
  • Hurricane Hanna’s Grill - At Disney’s Beach Club Resort, you’ll find views of Stormalong Bay go nicely with the menu. This pool bar serves lunch and snacks, plus an assortment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. 

Disney's Beach Club Resort Review - Location

As mentioned previously in our Disney’s Beach Club Resort Review, this property is located within walking distance of Epcot theme park. Simply take a walk on the shore of Stormalong Bay and head east until you hit the entrance to Epcot. If you prefer, you can catch a boat at the Transportation Dock in Stormalong Bay, at the Yacht Club end. Boats to Hollywood Studios share the Transportation Dock for convenient access to this area of Walt Disney World.

As you head to Epcot on foot, you’ll encounter a Disney Skyliner stop. Hop aboard this gondola ride and head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or neighboring Resort Hotels. There are also buses that offer complimentary transportation for guests of Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The bus stop at Beach Club Resort is located across the canal, between the entrance to the Resort and the Convention Center.

You can also take advantage of complimentary airport transportation onboard Disney’s Magical Express. This service takes guests to and from the Orlando Airport to Walt Disney World Resort properties.
