By Lex Tingey 07/24/2017

Halloween at Disneyland is just around the corner. To celebrate the holiday fun, we've created a video detailing everything you need to know about the spookiest season of the year. It's a must-watch if you're planning on visiting during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort this year!

Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize... The iconic Haunted Mansion song is the perfect introduction for our #MovieMonday this week. Halloween at Disneyland is one of the most popular times of the year, with Halloween and Disney fans alike rejoicing. Since it's so popular, there are always questions about the not-so-scary celebration. To help answer those questions, we've put together a video explaining everything you need to know about Halloween at Disneyland. Check it out below:

We don't know about you, but just talking about Halloween at Disneyland has us wishing it were fall already! Here's a highlight of what you need to remember about Halloween at Disneyland this year:

It begins September 15th. Halloween at Disneyland will begin on September 15th, will all decor and ride overlays ready to go. The festivities will last through Halloween night before they are taken down in preparation for Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.

Ride overlays, decorations and festive treats can be found in Disneyland. Halloween classics like Haunted Mansion Holiday, Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy, Dia de los Muertos and the Pumpkin Festival on Main Street will return this year. Fall decor and delicious themed treats can also be found during Halloween at Disneyland in 2017.

Disney California Adventure will be included in the frightful fun. For the first year ever, Halloween at Disneyland will be extended to include Disney California Adventure Park. Not-so-scary decor, including Oogie Boogie and a Headless Horseman Statue, can be found throughout the park starting on September 15th. Radiator Springs will become Radiator Screams. Your entire family will love seeing Mater and Lightning McQueen in their costumes. It will be an even bigger festive fright to see two new holiday ride overlays; Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi's Honkin' Haul-o-ween. All of the folks in Cars Land can't wait for you to see the fun change!

Mickey's Halloween Party is a ticketed event that runs select nights. The party begins on September 20th and occurs September 22nd, 25th, 27th and 29th. In October, the party will occur every Tuesday and Friday, beginning with October 3rd. The event includes trick or treating, Disney villain meet-n-greet opportunities, an exclusive parade and fireworks show, as well as early access to both parks beginning three hours before the event. During the Halloween Party, Disneyland will close early. However both Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney will remain open for you to finish your night off with a howl! You can buy your Mickey's Halloween Party tickets through Disneyland directly - we'd suggest hurrying as they tend to sell out fast.

Take advantage of our ticket specials to save on your Halloween vacation. If you're going in September, our Adults at Kids' Prices special on all 3-day and longer Park Hopper tickets will save you the most money. For those visiting in October, our 5th Day Free special is perfect! You can celebrate Halloween at Disneyland by only paying the price of a 4-Day Park Hopper, but getting to enjoy a 5-Day Park Hopper. Combine either of these ticket specials with our reduced hotel rates to save even more.

Add Universal Studios Hollywood or San Diego to your trip for the ultimate fall celebration. Universal Studios Hollywood and San Diego are both great destinations to add to your upcoming trip. You can visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter or experience the terrifying Halloween Horror Nights when you visit Universal Studios during the spooky season. While admission to the Wizarding World is included with your discounted ticket, the Halloween Horror Nights is a separate ticketed event through Universal Studios directly. If you're not sure you or your kids are ready for those thrills, visit San Diego instead. October is Kids Free month, meaning you can get a free child ticket for every paid adult ticket on almost every attraction within the county. Just imagine how much fun you would have celebrating Halloween at Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood or San Diego!
