Overview of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Explore Batuu
Once you walk into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you are immediately transported into the world of Star Wars – and more specifically, Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu. Here, you find yourself on the edge of the galaxy discovering a brand-new planet, that has never been seen before in the Star Wars universe. But let us tell you, while Batuu is new to us, it has a long history. What once was a former trading post filled with aliens, creatures and legends, Batuu is now home to misfits and smugglers trying to find their place in the galaxy. This deserted planet has once again gained the interest of The Resistance and in turn, The First Order. What could they be after? You’ll have to find out for yourself.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Overview - First Order vs. The Resistance
Speaking of these two opposing forces, The First Order and the Resistance have set up camp on opposite ends of Black Spire Outpost. At each location, you can join their ranks, discover secrets, purchase uniforms and fight for your side. These two totally distinct areas each have key information to unlock and discover through the Play Disney Parks App, which we’ll discuss more in a future video and a blog post here. But for now, download and use the Play Disney Parks App when visiting Batuu. This app brings a new level of immersion for you to experience at the Disneyland Resort.
