There are a number of news items that you may or may not have heard about for Disneyland. We’ve taken a look at those below.

Disneyland Resort Theme Park Reservations

One of the first things you’ll need to know is Disneyland Resort still utilizes the Disney Parks Pass Reservation System which is different from Walt Disney World. This system requires guests to have both a park reservation as well as a valid theme park ticket to enter either of the two Disneyland Resort theme parks. Disneyland Reservation System continues to be in use for future dates as well.

Reservations are made online through the Disneyland website and availability can be checked before buying tickets or booking a vacation package. And of course, Get Away Today is happy to help with that process.

Disneyland Resort Park Hopping Details

Park Hopper tickets are now an even better value! Here are two additional things your tickets can do right now:

1. Guests with a valid theme park reservation and Park Hopper ticket can Park Hop as early as 11:00 am PT.
2. All ride photos are available for free downloads for every ticketed guest as part of the 100 Years of Disney Celebration.

Disneyland Resort has created new ways of sharing and spreading magic. There is so much to see and do including favorites like the Disneyland Band and others throughout the resort, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, and Storytelling at the Royal Theatre. Guests of Disneyland Resort hotels will be able to enter their reserved Disneyland Resort theme park 30 minutes prior to the park’s opening to the general public.

MagicBands have arrived at Disneyland! You can now customize and purchase your MagicBand+ any time before or during your vacation. MagicBands+ allow you to remain hands-free and less tied to your cell phone during your trip.

When you connect the Disneyland app to your MagicBand+ you will have access to:

• Theme park tickets, simply tap in at the gate
• Theme park reservations, linked to your ticket
• Lightning Lane and Virtual Queue entrances
• Restaurant reservations (coming soon)
• Disneyland Resort hotel room, tap to unlock your room (coming soon)
• Payment information, just tap to pay (coming soon)

We’re excited to welcome MagicBand+ to Disneyland Resort.

Park Hopping at Disneyland looks a little different these days. If you haven’t been back in a while, it’s important to know that all guests with a park hopper ticket can begin park hopping at 11:00 am PT.

Park hopping tickets are still an excellent value, allowing you to visit both theme parks every day your tickets are valid.

There’s no need (or even an option) to make a reservation for your second theme park. Once park hopping opens for the day, you can hop back and forth as many times as you wish.
